monday downtown escapades
began with getting reprimanded by security
who eventually laughed at us
when i shot in the market.
unlocked cars asked for trouble
that we didn't have enough time
to take advantage of.
barb-wired walls and feathered fabric
then oragami records by the park.
exhausted by the sun
we retreat into white bricked buildings,
and end up on stairwells and the roof for cigarettes
and the most embarassing
moment of your life.

we drive back in sleepy silence,
watch a movie about passions
then laugh on the car ride home
about how ridiculous the day has been.
